The Proflush Thermal Unit is designed to be able to heat the system water up to 60°C when the boiler is not available.
By imparting heat into the system the chemicals work quicker. For every 10°C increase in temperature the chemicals work 3 times faster than at 40°C. The Proflush is capable of handling temperatures up to 85 °C when the boiler is utilised. Hoses will operate at 90°C and 20 Bar.
When it is possible to run the boiler at the normal 72-76°C during the flushing process, the average three bedroom house with 8-10 radiators can be completed in around 4 to 4.5 hours, whereas Powerflushing cold could take at least a full day. (Or even longer depending on the type of system and how bad it has become)
You may need to have your system flushed, if your radiators never seem to get hot in the middle or lower half ( not to be confused with hot at the bottom & cold at the top, in which case it is most likely only air, and may be vented/bled out )
We can even survey any existing central heating system to see how it is performing in minutes! We will show you there and then any cold spots in your radiators or poor circulation through pipe work even if it is buried in concrete!... the list goes on... are your pipes lagged?... where are you loosing heat?... Our customers are amazed at the unique view our camera gives into the workings of their system.
So in short, we believe in giving you the customer, the piece of mind in knowing that whether you just need to commission a report before buying a new home for example, and you just wish to know if the heating system is in good working order?... or if you really do need a power-flush?... or why that radiator never seems to get hot?.... or is the under floor heating working how it should?.... just give us a call, or email us where we can discuss your requirements. **/*** See notes below.
The average cost for a power flush for a medium sized home, (7 - 12 Radiators) would be around
£300 - £350 (inclusive of additives/inhibitor)

The above photo's are of how we may connect the unit to the system, here it is connected via the
radiator in a garage, but it could be connected virtually anywhere on the heating system.
The two pictures above, are of powerful magnets which are also connected to the system, they filter out
the corrosive particles, while the flushing agent is being circulated around the heating system by the power flushing unit.
(The photo on the right shows a closer view.)
**Anyone wishing to undertake having their central heating system power-flushed should please note**
Because of the chemicals used and the velocity of the pump needed to shift the sludge from the system components, the process may expose weaknesses in the system although this is an exception, rather than the rule... we could advise you of the possibilities before flushing.
